I’ve been on accutane 3 months. The past 1.5 months my skin had gotten darker. There’s a few spots that are my normal skin tone and it makes my face look crazy. I wear spf 30 and I’m not in the sun. The most I’m outside is walking to my car or walking into the store. IS this normal. Do I need a higher spf?

No! Accutane is a very toxic drug and many side effects. It should only be used for an initial regimen than can last 4-6 months, then discontinued. Patients may require additional regimens in the future.
Sometimes patients have to miss a month or more .. if their acne is not clear all i do is restart their treatment where they left off.. there is no harm in doing this.. if the acne was clear and remained clear after the month break I might not recommend restarting.. for women i might continue ...
