I had been on roaccutane last year for 4months,after a year now I'm facing the same problem from the last month and my dermatologists prescribed me roaccutane with azithromycine again!my anthr doctor prescribed me calcium oxide, vitamin b6 & b12, and vitamin D. My Q is if any of this vitamins have interactions with each other?i'm so scared why after taking roaccutane the same pustle cystic acne is back?what shud I do even after I finish my course of roaccutane to make it stop from coming back?
-220 pound, male -Got roaccutane 40mg due cystic acne (did steroid cycle) -attached bloowork 2months after cycle (is the estradiol abnormal?) -My face has been cleared but severe acne preavil on shoulder back and chest (2 months on treatment) -3 days ago I got hard pain in left shoulder, then tight in back and finally chest, hard to breath deeply, only ibuphoren helps -doctor said it was from gym (even tho I hardly trained while on treatment), and gave me bloodowrks (waiting for them)
I'm curious what options exist for me while I currently take low dose (30 to 60mg/week, 1 or 2x30mg pills/week) acctane to improve skin elasticity and texture. I'd be looking for sometime comparable to Morpheus8 but this is contradicted in patients on accutane. I take this low dose accutane as long term maintenance to avoid cystic acne recurrence. I've done some procedures where I go off accutane for a week or so with scar formation or issues.
Hi I have deep&elongating cystic lesions in my skin, some lasting 7 years. Think of them as trees that have branches that spread. They are full of oil and can scab off. The worst is the one in my nose and belly button that hurt badly. Theyve created like acne veins that move and create popping noises. Can Accutane fix this or must I get them drained first? Tret helps but these things are massive. I would be thankful to participate in a study as I cannot take it longer. I want to be happy
I am 185 lb early 20s male. I do not have acne, but I do have cysts that are appearing in my outer ears. It is ramping up and they are very small but it went from 1-2 to 5-6 between the left and right ear and Im wondering if accutane or any other medicine out there could potentially help this issue. Previously I had a small one drained and they believed that it was potentially sebaceous but unsure.
I am 44 years old and have struggled with cystic acne for about 5 years. I only get one or 2 every other month, but I scar very easily. My dermatologist has tried topicals, antibiotics and years of Spironolactone. She feels Accutane is the best option. She says that most patients experience 2 weeks of purging. I have seen so many reviews online where people purge for months. I have a history of depression and Im concerned about months of breakouts. What do your patients typically experience?
I've been on dianette for acne for a very long time but due to my age my GP has said I've got less than a year left on it. I still get cystic acne but it's not too bad. Every time I've tried coming off it my skin has been terrible with cystic acne and I've had some bad scarring as a result. I think I'll have to give in and take accutane but as I've spend 1000s on treatments for my indented scars I really don't want to purge. Would a very low dose over a long period of time eliminate the risk?.
As a teenager, I had severe breakouts and went on Accutane with success. Seven years later, occasional breakouts became more severe and I went back on Accutane. Initially, my skin cleared up, but around the fourth month I started developing cystic acne again. My mom has also struggled with acne and has taken Accutane twice with mixed results. The first time it went well for her, but the second time she saw no results. Is this a normal course of events during treatment? Male 145 lbs 80mg / day
I've been on Accutane for 3 months and my acne completely cleared in the first few weeks and hasn't come back at all. I am struggling with some of the side effects and was wondering if its possible for it to have cleared more quickly and that I could possibly stop taking it early since its worked so well? Are the chances it comes back high? I had minor to moderate cystic acne to begin with.
Im 165 pound male and I have received a rx for low dose 20mg accutane/day for occasional lower face cystic acne (maybe 1-2 small cysts/month) but when I do get them they can leave scars and take a week to resolve hence why I asked for accutane. How long must I remain on accutane? I would like to take the lowest possible dose which will still give long term results. Btw I was already on accutane regular dose when I was 15. I was acne-free for 15 years. Thank you!
