I have finished my Accutane treatment for acne on my back. Although I am not getting any new breakouts, I still have some of the cysts remaining from when my acne was going away while on treatment. Is it normal that I finished Accutane and still have these cysts leftover? Will it just take time for them to fully go away? Does this mean the treatment was not effective since it did not COMPLETELY clear my skin?
I have taken antibiotics, birth contol, topicals and many others. I get milia have a bit of roseca and sometimes cysts. Will my dry skin get worse if I take accutane? Will my thin hair fall out while taking it? Will it make my acne worse and in turn my picking problem get worse also?

Hi there, I've had a sebaceous cyst on my cheek for a few years and it occasionally flares up due to various triggers (shaving, creams). The flares are starting to affect me, but i have hope that the cyst will eventually pass. I've been on isotretinoin for 8 months (10mg for 5, 20mg for 4) and my skin is clearing up, however, will this help get rid of the cyst on my cheek? I'd really prefer to avoid surgery as I do not want a scar on my cheek. For context, Im 92kg, Male, 63 ft
Ive had this cyst in my left breast for over a year now, I was told the only way to get rid of it is to do a small surgery (cut it open) I have cystic acne that Ive been dealing with for years, on my face, back, and sometimes chest, I will be starting Accutane next week, will this cyst in my breast go away with accutane?
I'm currently in my 6th week of a 4-month course of Accutane 60 mg. I was wondering, when I will be seeing some sort of an improvement? I have a few cysts under my skin. Will Accutane still push these out to a head, or because of the decrease in sebum, will they just simply fade as the bacteria lessens in the cysts?
I had moderate acne. I had first month with 20 mg per day, then 2 with 40mg, 2 with 60mg, 1 with 80mg. Accutane made my acne worse at first A LOT. Now have no more blackheads or whiteheads, I continue to develop cysts and have had 7 cortisone shots on no longer active ones! I am taking with food, I eat healthy, drink loads of water. Why am I not responding to this treatment, ? How much longer should I be on it? Should I up my dosage? Also concerned about scarring
I've been taking accutane for about 1month and 3weeks. My skin is no longer oily and i do not have one single blackheads. On the other hand i've been having cysts on my left cheek for quite some time now (i had around 3 and have 2 currently). Overall fatty foods (peanut butter, nuts, avocado, oils) make me breakout, i've adopted a high carb low fat vegan. Should i take accutane with a fat dense meal even though fatty foods make me breakout?
I went on acctutane, 30 mg for 4 or 5 months. My skin broke out so bad. Huge cysts. I've tried everything you can imagine topical and antibiotics. I started breaking out again, it's been a few years but I started breaking out within a year after getting off accurate. I want to do a second round, but I'm scared I will have the same terrible breakout I did when I was on it. On average, do patients have a lesser breakout than the first time or is it about the same as the first?
