Hi There, i have pllar cyst on my scalp. I am 83kgs and using 20mg/p isotretinoin per day. It is qlmost 2 mnths now but my cyst feel bigger and sore now. I am really wondering accutane will heal the bump?. Do i need to increse my dosage per day? Is it toi earrly ti expect improvent after 2 months? Realy appreciate if anyone asnwers. Thanks in advance.

Genuine244716,In my experience, pilar cysts need to be excised. Especially if it is symptomatic&hellip;becoming larger and more painful. It can be done in the office using local anesthetic. The incision is placed overlying the cyst. It tends to hide nicely in the hair, so it shouldn’t be noticeable. Also, you should notice immediate improvement in your symptoms. Good luck!

For Pilar cysts in the scalp, I usually recommend surgical excision. It is a quick, in- office procedure. I do not find isotretinoin to be helpful in healing or removing pilar cysts.
