Looking worse 8 months after lower eyelid surgery. How could this be fixed? (Photo)

30y/o. Had the surgery almost 8 months ago. Photos: before, after 4 months, after 8 months. Severe anxiety about the result. Doctor suggests waiting 4 more months, but it doesn't seem to be getting better. On top of that I now have visible deep wrinkles, especially when smiling. How could this be fixed?

It looks like you have had some small improvement already but your result will continue to improve. Although it looks like eternity to you, 8 months is not enough for your result to settle and mature. After that time, you should be reevaluated for possible revision (to remove fat deposits if still visible), chemical peel, microneedling to improve skin appearance. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Unfortunately, your problem is very common. Your problem initially was volume loss. You got some improvement by tightening the skin and, probably, rolling the orbital fat over the orbital rim to fill inferiorly. I tell everyone I do a lower blepharoplasty on that they may need filler or fat in the under eye area after the surgery, depending on how much the above maneuvers correct. I prefer not to do it at the time of surgery, but many good surgeons do both at the same time. In you, I would have approached your problem with fillers (or fat) first. See someone else who is an expert in rejuvenating this area.
