Is belly button reconstruction an option for me? (Photo)

Question

I had a tummy tuck done about 6 months ago, and i hate how my belly button looks. Is it possible to find a surgeon who would reconstruct just my belly button? If so what would that entail? Is it as simple as just local anesthetic in office. Or is it a full blown operation with general anesthesia again?

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photo, it looks like you would benefit from belly button surgery. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

You would be a good candidate for revision of your belly button. Based on this limited photo, a scar revision would help a lot. If there are other issues with contour, they can also be addressed as well with other potential maneuvers.

I would firs exhaust all forms of massage and silicone gel creams for at least 1 year from the procedure.  If after this the scar is still bothering you, I would recommend a scar revision.  This can be done under local in the office.

You need to be more specific about what you do not like for your umbilicus looks fine in the photo you showed. If the scarring is a concern, use micro-needling to improve it.
