Will placing an ear plug in my belly button help it open up more or should I consider a revision? (photos)

I had a tummy tuck two years ago. I recently went back for a couple issues with my belly button and I was told that using an ear plug could open this up a bit more in about 3-4 months. I was wondering if doing that would really work or should I go see another surgeon about a revision? I would like the "tunnel" part to be a bit more open. The inside does move easily, but it just fills back in when I remove my finger. Thanks!

These small closed up belly buttons are hard to reopen without the z-plasty. the z-plasty will make it appear larger and longer. Sometimes it is better to remove the whole thing.

Your belly button could be made smaller, but cannot be made deeper since your original belly button closed soon after birth.

You would need to speak to your surgeon to see how the blood flow is preserved to your belly button. If most of the blood flow is coming from the inferior skin, it should not be revised.
