My periodontist is going to refer me to a ENT specialist for consultation before sinus lift surgery as prep for dental implant. Why ENT consultation is needed? Is that a regular procedure or my perio saw something wrong with my sinus? What would I expect from the ENT consultation?

In my experience CSF rhinorrhea usually occurs immediately after surgery and is usually not delayed. CSF rhinorrhea is also more like a drippy faucet. It is not thick or mucoid. I would address it again with your doctor.
