Is it normal to get a sinus infection 3 months after sinus surgery?

I had sinus surgery 3 months ago. I followed all of my post op instructions carefully and I've been breathing so much better, until today. I'm almost 99% I have a sinus infection. I'm just wondering if it is normal to have one so soon after after sinuplasty.

Although a sinus infection after sinus surgery is rare, it can happen. I would continue your sinus rinses and see your doctor to determine if it is a bacterial infection that requires antibiotics or something else that can be managed conservatively.
