10 years ago I had bio gel/aloe Vera buttock injections. Now having a problem. Huge spot that's hardened. Can it be fixed?

I recommend setting up an in-person consultation with an experienced plastic surgeon for evaluation and possible removal of the Biogel injected into your buttocks. An Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan may be necessary to evaluate the location of the injected material. The treatment varies from patient to patient, since no two cases are exactly the same. This may range from surgical excision, to hyaluronidase injection followed by VASER Liposuction and fat transfer into the area to correct the resultant deformity. It is very difficult to determine the exact size and shape implant you will require to best match your ideal butt image without an examination by a board certified plastic surgeon. Not just any board certified plastic surgeon, but one with many years of frequently performing breast augmentation surgery including different approaches, techniques and implant choices. This is because several measurements not to mention your breast characteristics are needed to determine the optimal implant size to obtain your goals. Without knowing these dimensions it would be difficult to make this determination. For example, the existing base width of your buttock will determine, in many cases, the maximal volume per implant profile that you can accommodate. Liposuction of your lower back and fat transfer is also helpful as an adjunct to implants. Using “want to be” photos however are useful if simply provided to the surgeon.

Thank you for your question.  There are procedures to remove the substance you had injected into your buttocks.  An in person consultation would be necessary to give you precise recommendations.

Buttock enhancement can be with fat or implants. All other injections are underground and illegal and not FDA approved.They can cause many problems from infections to granulomas.In person examination and possibly MRI to evaluate the extent of the injection.Most of the injected material can be removed surgically. However some sort of reconstruction is needed after that

To be honest, there isn’t any FDA-approved butt injection at the moment. The only ones deemed safe are butt implants and Brazilian butt lift using fat transfer, but even these have their own risks. You’re lucky that your injection lasted for a decade without any complications, but it might be time to have it removed.
