I am considering sculptra injections for my Butt. I considered getting a bbl but I was unsure since I am known to have keloid skin. Also because my lifestyle is so busy I do not have time for the healing process and definitely do not like surgery. i really just want hips. I wanted to know what is sculptra? Can I apply it to my butt and hips? Is it long lasting? Do I have to be careful like people have to be with silicone? Is it worth it?

Answer: Can Sculptra be injected into the butt and hips? Sculptra is a nice alternative for fat augmentation to buttock areas. Sculptra is a bio-stimulatory filler, which means that it makes your own body lay down new collagen. So if you are slim with narrow hips and don’t have enough fatty tissue for fat transfer, or don’t want to go through buttock augmentation with an implant or not a candidate for this, Sculptra can be a good alternative. It can be injected into the buttocks and will give you some fullness to the area. So if you have the atrophic depression along the lateral part of the buttock, to give you a more softness to the hips or give you a more projection, you can use Sculptra and it will help improve some fullness of the buttock area. Once injections are done, it will last approximately 2 years.

Answer: Sculptra for the Buttocks Thank you for your question. Sculptra is a dermal filler made of small particles of poly l-lactic acid (PLLA). After a Sculptra treatment, your body encapsulates each PLLA particle with your own collagen, slowly building volume over the course of several weeks. Most patients opt to have 2-3 injection sessions for best results, and then periodically undergo maintenance treatments to keep up their results. Sculptra is primarily indicated for injection into the face, but can be used safely in other parts of the body as well. Sculptra injections in the buttocks are a popular treatment, particularly for patients who do not have sufficient fat to undergo a BBL. That said, your history of keloid scarring is a little concerning. Depending on how severe your keloids have been, this may be a contraindication to Sculptra treatments. I would recommend discussing your cosmetic goals and medical history with your cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon, to determine the best treatment plan for you. Best of luck!
