Fraxel or PRP microneedling for acne scars?

Question

I've had these "holes" on the left cheek area for many years due to past acne. I tried to use lighting that gives the best visual of the scarring as it tends to look better in other lighting. I've been told in person that the affected area consists of very shallow icepick scars and/or scarred pores. The area is about half the length of my index finger. What would work best for this - fraxel or microneedling with PRP?

A combination approach is needed for this type of scarring. I recommend lasers, microneedling/prp, TCA cross, punch excision and fillers. It will take a series of treatments for improvement. See an expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer

All patients are asked to come for a consultation appointment for evaluation.  There are many different technologies available for the treatment of acne scars.  We perform Fraxel and PRP in this office. 
Some techniques that have minimal to no downtime include the Fraxel Dual laser, PicoSure, Clear + Brilliant , Permea, and the Q-switched Nd:YAG laser. More downtime is seen with the Fraxel Re:pair laser as well as the Active FX and Deep FX

I would treat these acne scars with TCA cross and Infini. I have found this to be better than Fraxel. You can add PRP but I don't know if it is beneficial or not. The microneedling is only about 1/5 - 1/10th as effective as the Infini.
