20 years old, acne scars. Dermatologist suggested fraxel laser. Considering my age do you think I should go for the laser?

I am 20 years and have acne scars on my upper cheek (mostly icepeak scars).I consulted a dermatologist and she suggested 3 sessions of fraxel laser.

I often advise my younger patients to do preventative treatments and with acne scarring, the earlier the better. For these types of scars, it will take a combination approach to get improvement including: lasers, TCA cross, punch excision, microneedling/prp, and fillers. Fraxel laser is a fabulous laser for treating acne scars.  Without a photo or an in person consultation  it is difficult to say what would be the best treatment for you.  I often use the eMatrix for treating acne scars on the face and combine it with fillers to have the best results.  The key is to find an expert in acne scars.  Best, Dr. Green
