Is rhinoplasty allowed with poor eyesight?

Rhinoplasty surgery does not effect the orbit or your eyes and is very safe. There is a very slight risk of eye injury from the cornea drying out during general anaesthesia but your anaesthetist will apply lubricating gels and tape your eyes shut to help prevent this.

It is not likely that nose surgery will affect your eyesight in any way. Some swelling and bruising around eyes and cheeks is common after nose surgery but it will not affect your eyesight. You can have your nose surgery anytime.  Consult a plastic surgeon in your area for further evaluation and discuss your options and risks involved. Good luck.

If you Dr. gives you the clearance then you should not have any problems getting a rhinoplasty procedure done, there is going to be inflammation after the procedure but nothing that could do any types of damage to your vision. Good Luck Dr. Michael J. Rodriguez

Rhinoplasty should not affect your vision. You only might think so postoperatively when you can't believe how good your nose looks! :)

  Hi, I have performed many Rhinoplasty Surgeries over the past 30 years.  If your eye doctor clears you for surgery, which seems likely in a case of poor vision versus retinal disease, there's no reason that you couldn't undergo an Open or Closed Rhinoplasty. Hope this helps.
