went in for sizing yesterday for a breast augmentation. My breasts are 12cm wide. I’m 5’1” about 120 pounds. We settled on 470/450cc high profile round silicone. However, I’m getting very scared that’s too big. I’ve attached the picture with a 450 sizer in and I honestly LOVED how it looked. However, when I look up other girls with my stats and that size it does look rather large. I also attached a picture of my breasts now, and my goal breasts
Answer: Worried that implants chosen with office sizing are too large Your implant sizes that you mentioned are indeed fairly large for your frame and I find that doing sizing with implants placed in a bra works very well for women with very little tissue, but can be inaccurate in women who have as much tissue as you do. Personally, I would recommend that you find a surgeon who will use intraoperative sizing to pick the best implant size within a range that you determine beforehand with your surgeon. I like patients to bring in pictures of their ideal breast, preferably pictures of someone who is close to their size and shape.Going too large is very difficult to correct. It is always easier to increase the implant size later if you wish to go larger.

Answer: If you are worried that they are too big... ...then they probably are. Being made larger than you wish is a bell you cannot unring, unless you have revision surgery. Ending up slightly smaller than you expected can always be enhanced with the right bra, etc. To be honest, for your dimensions, the implants you have selected are indeed fairly large. Form the standpoint of aesthetics, it's hard to "argue" with what you like. From your photos, you need to probably have at least a dual plane augmentation to achieve the proper degree of lift. Continue the discussions with your plastic surgeon. If in doubt, consider a second opinion. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Left: 470 right: 450. Too big or just right? Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. If your surgeon has measured your chest and assured you that the implants will physically fit, and you like the look when you try on sizers, I would feel confident in your choice moving forward. Always wise to have extensive conversation with your surgeon to ensure you both are on the same page about your outcome. Hope this helps.

Answer: Choosing a size Thanks for your question and the photos. Picking an implant size is perhaps the most anxiety provoking part of augmantetion surgery. I find it helpful to allow my opatients to try on actual implants in a testing bra in front of a full length miror. We focus on the balance of the curve of the breast with the curve of the hips and once we like the implants width we then look at different projections - high, moderate, low. I also find it helpful for patients to look with their own clothing- blouses, shirts and dresses. Given your height the implants you are looking at are generous for your frame, but it is about your goals as well. High profile makes a statement- moderate can be dressed up or down. See if your PS can have you try on sizers to give you a sense of comfort. I have included sizing faq in the link as well. Best wishes.
