4 wks after surgery and my breasts always feel cold is this normal?

I recently went from 650's to 800cc memory gel implants.My breasts now always feel cooler than the rest of my body, maybe even a little numb in those places. My nipples respond to stimulation. My breasts are soft. It has only been 4 weeks. Is this normal?

This sounds perfectly normal after having such large implants placed.  I suspect that the temperatures will however normalize in time.

Deffinately normal when you use very large implants, you have likely stretched and bruised the nerves and they are not functioning properly. They should come back to normal but it may take 6-12 months.

Thank you for the question.  Yes this sounds very normal.   Implants tend to be at a  temperature somewhere between body temperature and the temperature of the surroundings. The numbness is caused from the trauma to the nerves which may or may not get better over time. Best of Luck.

and this is even worse if you have less breast tissue.  Your breast implants tend to take on the ambient temperature so its normal for them to feel cooler.

Thank you for your question.  You have very large implants and early after surgery it does not surprise me that they feel cooler than the rest of your body..  Early on the pressure of the implants may reduce the amount of warming blood that is circulating to the surface of your breasts.  If this occurs it could result in a temperature decrease.  I would expect that as you get further from your surgery the temperature of your breasts should be closer to the temperature of the rest of your chest skin.
