I would suggest an Ultrasound to ensure there isn't seroma contributing to the swelling. If that's negative you could try lymphatic massage. That can often improve difficult swelling.
Waiting a year from surgery for revisions is fairly common - you want to ensure the inflammation and swelling have fully subsided. Recovery is a process.
