I want a drainless tummy tuck. Do I need to wait a time period after having major back surgery?

Hi, I had major lower back surgery last June at 44, started going to the gym again (3 days a week) and I believe my back is fully healed at this point but I can't get me BMI to drop below 32.2 and menopause may have something to do with it. I'm wanting a drainless TT for faster recovery as I can't get more than 3 weeks off of work (unless it's considered FMLA) which is factory. I dream of have a body I once had in my 20's. What does my outlook look like? Am I being realistic?

In general, having had back surgery is not a contraindication to abdominoplasty surgery. Most would wait six months or so prior to embarking on abdominoplasty. If there is concern, you should speak with your back physician and for sure you should let the plastic surgeon know and also make sure the anesthesiologist is aware. If one has a higher body mass index, one is at higher risk for certain postoperative complications and also the cosmetic result is not optimal. It is always wise to try to lose weight through dieting prior to embarking on abdominoplasty with associated liposuction.
