Chin deformities that position the soft tissue pad below the mandibular plane are difficult problems to correct. The changes that occur with movement are even more difficult. Multiple considerations are required. Botox usually helps to some degree but the effects are temporary. Soft tissue resuspension is possible and can provide some improvement in for the chin position but is less effective when the chin soft tissue is in animation. Sometimes a chin implant and/or sliding genioplasty can provide some additional improvement. Consult with a surgeon who performs many types of chin surgeries.
