Is it common immediately after IPL not to have any change? (Photo)

I had IPL 18 hours ago. My Doctor told me it would feel like a sunburn and I would have possible swelling. I was also told to expect flaking. I had none of these things and now I wonder if it didn't work.

These are similar treatments. For rosacea, I like a combination approach, using lasers (ProYellow, Pulsed Dye/Vbeam, Excel V), peels and botox to the cheeks. This makes dramatic changes in color and symptoms. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
