IPL damage? Freaking out (Photo)

Hello, I'm hoping that my mind can be put at ease here. I had IPL photo facial one day ago and I have noticed that I have indented lines over my cheeks and on my jawline. My face is also still quite swollen and my skin feels rough and thick. Is this normal or has my skin been damaged by the IPL? Thank you

thank you for your question.  IPL treatment treats red vessels, hyperpigmentation and it improves the texture of your skin by producing collagen and elastin. you will pepper after the treatment and the dark spots will appear darker before they flake off. do not be alarmed.  This takes 2-4 days depending on your skin type and the intensity of the treatment.Always consult with a physician to make sure you are a good candidate

Thank you for your question. IPL if used at too high of a setting can cause hyperpigmentation and sometimes a burn. Be sure to follow up with your provider if your skin tone does not even out .
