Hello. I had a lipoma reading 6.5cm on ultrasound removed in Feb 2024. For years couln't lay flat on my back couldn't do situps, play with my kids. I went to seek out a doctor that could remove deep lipomas, a General Surgeon. After surgery he said nothing went wrong he got it all. The incision was more than 2". Which i only noticed the next day after changing my bandages. I ended up reaching back out but i could only be seen by his PA. Pathology came back quick stating it was 10.6cm benign. The amount of pain i was in was horrible couldn't get relief. I developed a fast growing hematoma seroma encapsulation. It looked like i had a pregnant upper butt that moved to my side hip. 3 weeks post op they decided to put in a drain. It was so thick she had to try 3 locations to poke a hole. I could not get numb with the lidocaine so i had to endure. More than 400ml came out in the office. Another 500ml or so came out during the night. It stopped after 8 hrs. It got clogged by clots. They wanted to keep it in over the weekend even though there wasn't anything coming out. A month later i went to PT to try to work out the scarring. Deep massages hurt I did that 2-3x week for 7 months. I developed more pain In my lower back hip and pretty much bottom tight torso. I could only lay and sit on my left side so that started hurting more. I now walk with cane walker. I'm only 42, on 3 pain meds. What to do? Surgeons want to do exploratory, don't want to.
