Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best,Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
Thank you for your question and submitting a photo. You look wonderful and not as old as you think you look. I would recommend you having a personalized consultation by a skin specialist in your area. By the photo submitted I believe you would benefit by a combinational approach to aging. As you have darker skin this rules out a number of different lasers but a series of Micro Needling is a wonderful treatment that is safe to do. Micro Needling creates small, controlled injuries to the skin that help push the collagen stimulation in the deeper layers leaving a more refreshed and plumper finish. This is an awesome anti-aging maintenance treatment that can be done at any time of the year. You can also use injectables such as Neuromodulators to smooth out lines and Fillers to add volume to the areas of loss such as the nasal labial folds and under eyes leaving a more natural, fresh look. Home care is important and I would recommend using medical grade products such as growth factors, retinol's and products focused on hydrating.
You have a few options. I find that a combination of lasers or RF, sculptra for collagen building, microneedling/prp and skin care help with skin rejuvenation. Kybella, Ultherapy and/or ThermiRF treatments (Venus Legacy) would be non-invasive options that would do well in combination for skin tightening. VASER with ThermiRF is a great alternative for contouring and tightening the chin and neck. Please see a cosmetic dermatologist for a long term treatment plan. Best, Dr. Emer.
Thank you for your question! It Is always good to see a skincare specialist in your area. Getting a consultation will help you understandyour skin and what improvements can be made with different treatments andlasers. Unfortunately, with darker skin types, many lasers are a contradiction.Treatments such as Micro needling with PRP can improve collagen production andtexture problems. There are fillers and neuromodulators that can help with finelines and wrinkles in specific areas of the face. There are also products thatcan help with under chin fat, such as Kybella. Combining any of the treatmentswith the right skin care regimen will improve your skin’s elasticity, giving ita refreshed young looking skin.
Based on your photo, I would disagree and say that you look great and not as old as you think you do. Regardless, I understand that everyone has things about themselves they do not like and there is no harm in improving. Due to the lighting I cannot tell if you skin is even toned or not, although it appears to be. From the photo alone I would say you could probably benefit from some filler - some injected into the nasolabial folds to soften them and a little under the eyes to lighten up the darkness and make you appear more awake and refreshed. These procedures are quick and easy but will need to be maintained around every 4-6 months. I would recommend an in person consultation with a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon to properly asses your face and skin and discuss your goals.
