Laser surgery for crepey skin?

Question

I have crepe skin on my upper arms, neck, chest, and knees. Is laser surgery a help for it? And if so, what would be the total cost? Thank you.

Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery.

You might want to start with a retinol cream/skin care, peels and microneedling. But if your skin is very wrinkled and crepey from the sun and if you have early sun damage you may need peels, lasers, (plasma pen) and microneedling with (RF/)PRP.  Please be sure to wear sunscreen to prevent further wrinkling. thermage and ultherapy can be used to tighteng skin. Sculptra can be used to improve collagen production. Many lasers that can be used on the face can not be used for other areas of the body.  The skin in these other areas does not heal well with the more aggressive lasers, and can create scarring.Ulthera - deep ultrasound has been used off the face and can provide some nice tightening.  Radiofrequency treatments such as the Infini can also be used off the face.

Agree with Dr Martin. Non laser therapy such as Ultherapy, Infini RF and other devices are far safer than ablative lasers. In some cases I use collagen stimulating fillers such as Radiesse, often combination treatments are best. You will require 3-6 sessions for best results. Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
