Can I get Emsculpt on my stomach if I had my gallbladder taken out and internally closed with metal staples?

Hi Guanchi,Unfortunately metal staples are a contraindication for Emsculpt over the area.  It is thought that the energy of Emsculpt penetrates about 7 centimeters deep from the paddles.  My wife also has staples in her abdomen and we are not treating her.  On the bright side, she did treat her buttocks as they are far enough away as to not be a problem.  You may also treat your triceps, biceps, and legs with the newly released applicators.  Good luck and be well.Dr. PEncino, CA

EMSculpt defines and sculpts. It does this by utilizing magnetic stimulation to cause muscular super contractions. It would not be an issue if you don't have any metal plates or implants in those areas. I would still confirm with your doctor to make sure.

It is recommended to have NO metal in the treatment field however EmSculpt is still a possibility depending on the number of paddles used and the angulation. In general, scar tissue forms around surgical clips and the risk of complication is much less after six months.
