Hi, thanks for your question. Yes, you can have Botox and then the second dose of the Covid vaccine 4 days later. There are typically no contraindications when it comes to Botox and vaccines. Please speak to your provider if you have any further concerns.
Thank you for your question. You should be fine getting Botox within four days of your Covid-19 vaccine. Fillers can be more problematic, as some patients have experienced additional swelling after their vaccination. However, no such effects have been reported with Botox. Make sure both injectors are aware of your timetable and always use an experienced, board-certified injector for your Botox treatments to ensure the best possible results.
I haven't seen any issues with my clients getting both of these together on the same day or different days. I do suggest IV NAD on the day before and after vaccine. emerageskin dermarolling helps also prevent fine wrinkles and can be applied with enlighten or AERIFY. Best, Dr. Emer.
I am not aware of any interactions between Botox and the Covid vaccine. There should be no issue with you having your second vaccine shot 4 days after having had treatment with Botox.
There should not be any issue to getting your vaccine 4 days after Botox treatment. Hope this helps.
There is currently no established contraindication or guidance in respect to botox injections and the Covid vaccine. In my practice, a lot of patients received their vaccines either immediately after botox injections or immediately before botox injections without complications. Consult with your doctor for more information.
While it should be ok to proceed with your plan, consider separating out the injections 2 weeks or more from the vaccine if possible.
The best answer I have is there is no data. The Covid vaccine is new and there have been no studies that I am aware of. On the other hand, I have continued injecting Botox during the pandemic and vaccination periods and have not experienced any complications in any of my patients. Botox works in the junction between the nerve and the muscle to block the signal from the nerve that causes the muscles to contract. The vaccine causes the immune system to form antibodies to combat infection with the Covid virus. The mechanism of action for Botox and Covid vaccine differ so I do not feel there should be problems continuing with Botox treatments while having the Covid vaccine.
Thank you for your question! It is safe to get botox then 4 days later get the second dose of the vaccine. It is advised to hold off on receiving any filler around the time of your vaccine. Hope this helps!
Yes, you can have your Botox treatment and then receive your second dose of the COVID vaccine four days later. We do recommend waiting for 14 days after the COVID vaccine before having filler treatments due to potential swelling. Botox treatments however do not carry this concern.
"Injecting soft fillers like Belotero in this area can reduce lines, wrinkles and folds as well as improve skin texture with long-term collagen production. Fillers are being used more frequently to contour and lift rather than solely line fill. Of course, fillers are best used in combination...
Hello and thank you for your question- we would always recommend a face to face consult for accurate treatment advice as it's hard to say without an examination. It is important to treat the superficial and deep fibres when injecting the masseter to get a result that looks and works effectively...
Yes, it is safe to wear a face shield 24 hours after Botox injections. Best of luck to you, Dr. Nima!
