How can you fix a crooked face? (Photos)

Question

I smile more on one side of my face, almost as if I'm smiling towards one side? One side of my face looks different than the other? Is it my jaw? Would I need jaw surgery?

AiidA bit of facial asymmetry is common in many patients. In the case of a significant asymmetry, dermal fillers can be injected to improve facial balance. Additional photos and a clinical exam would be needed to determine if your asymmetry is due to your your jaw. Sometimes corrective jaw surgery, chin surgery or facial implants can improve a facial asymmetry. Good luck

Generally speaking, dermal fillers are a great option for face contouring and correction of face asymmetry. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. There are several reasons for asymmetry.  You need an in-office exam to look at the facial nerve and the boney structure.  The pictures suggest an asymmetric jaw bone.  This can be corrected with in-office fillers or a jaw implant.  Seek out an opinion from a board-certified Facial Plastic surgeon.  Best wishes.
