Vanquish in contraindicated with abdominal metal devices or cardiac implants. metal in more distant locations should be safe. you can check with BTL Vanquish company online or by phone
@3snowwhite9 Thank you, that is a very valid question. The answer is NO. Metal implants of any kind are contraindicated for this type of treatment, because of the risk for damage to underlying muscles and tissue. The subcutaneous fat tissue is heated to 120 degrees, so anything metal in your skin would also be a risk for this. This goes for pace-makers as well. Thanks again for your question, I hope this helps. Best of luck.#vanquish #metalimplants #contraindications
It is probably safe, but I would first check with your orthopedic surgeon, especially if you intend to use it near you knees. Remember, however, results from RF fat reduction are extremely variable, and many times NOT impressive! I have had numerous patients come to me for traditional liposuction, after failing RF treatments, like Vanquish. Unless you desire a very small reduction of fat in a very well defined region, traditional liposuction is much more reliable. Also claims of "skin reduction or shrinkage" after RF treatment are anecdotal at best, and have never been confirmed by solid scientific research. Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
Hi,Vanquish is contraindicated near areas with metal implanted in the body. If you are considering Vanquish in the abdominal area there is some diffusion of the RF to surrounding areas. I agree that you should consult with your orthopaedic surgeon and getting clearance before trying Vanquish to the abdomen. In your situation, Vanquish is definitely contraindicated for the thighs.Warmly,Dr. Liu
Vanquish, a non-invasive (non-surgical) fat reduction device, is safe to use in a patient with joint replacements especially since the areas typically treated do not involve the joint which was replaced. The results from the Vanquish ME are quite remarkable and permanent. Make sure you are a candidate by consulting with your board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who specializes in fat reduction and body contouring. You should make sure that you have treatable subcutaneous fat and not simply visceral fat.Best of luck,Suneel Chilukuri, M.D.Houston, TX
We pair Vanquish treatments with a Zimmer Z-Wave which uses radial pulse therapy to cause even more fat cell apoptosis (fat cell death) than manual massage. In addition, I encourage at home massage and exercise after the procedure to further enhance the results. You can utilize your...
Thank you for your question. Vanquish doesn't result in weight loss, but rather destroys fat cells through radio frequency technology. It does offer some skin tightening, but it will not help with loose skin after weight loss. A tummy tuck is the only procedure that will remove...
Painful lumps after Vanquish has been known to happen, especially if you have a lot of fat. Usually it is from fat necrosis which happens when the fat starts to die off. You should massage deeply and frequently, this often breaks up the lumps, which ultimately will go away.
