Can I get Vanquish after CoolScuplting?

Question

Is it safe to have a vanquish treatment coolscuplting? CS had no results but was painful so now I'm considering vanquish. Of course it's like these reviews for vanquish... I only read great things about coolscuplting. So I no longer value the reviews here but hope to have straightforward answers from the Drs. I have lost 35 lbs and am not looking for an easy effortless fix. I have stubborn belly fat.

Many physicians that have purchased the
CoolSculpting device have purchase the  Vanquish
 as a treatment to enhance #non-surgicalbodycontouring
 results. In some cases the Vanquish has
replaced it. Many doctors who have promoted  #CoolSculpting , have determined that the Vanquish
 is a fast, safe and effective way to
treat unwanted fat without downtime or complications.  Some doctors use both systems or, as in our
office other systems such as Ultrashape and Velashape.  Vanquish can cover a large area in a short
period of time per treatment and a much shorter course of treatment, – a whole
abdomen, flank to flank and circumferential. It is very efficient and a course
of treatment takes weeks instead of months with Coolsculpt.

So many patients have come in to get tumescent lipo under local  after they wasted money on freezing or microwaving the fat with no results. Many gimmicky  procedures are out there and make unrealistic claims. Every once in awhile , you hear a  patient has a little result which may be just enough for them, but it isn't the norm.

The simple answer is yes. It would  appear that Vanquish is more efficient in fat reduction for larger areas and there should not be a problem with #VanquishAfterCoolSculpting

I would suggest doing the vanquish immediately before coolsculpting -- this is similar to the "fire and ice" treatment.  I personally think ultrashape is better prior to coolsculpting or ultrashape/velashape and then coolsculpting. It will likely help the coolsculpting lose more fat.  However, if you are considering all these combinations for fat reduction you may be better with a hi definition liposuction procedure.  Please see a body contouring specialist.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Hello, thank you for your question. Coolsculpting’s results depend on the person performing the treatment in you. Vanquish doesn’t, as long as the professional has basic training on the machine. Vanquish will cause fat cell apoptosis ( it will destroy the fat cells) evenly across the area covered by the applicator. Studies comparing both treatments showed better patient satisfaction with Vanquish. It will not cause any pain (acute or chronic) as possible with Coolsculpting.

Hi,Great question!  I answer this all the time in talks because I have been doing CoolSculpting for almost 6 years and have had Vanquish for over two years.  They are actually complimentary procedures.  When we assess a patient, we look at the composition of their fat to determine which is the best treatment to start off with in body contouring.  We use both technologies interchangeably in our practice.  You can safely have Vanquish after CoolSculpting!  If you have lost 35 lbs, I always realistically advise patients that neither technology will tighten any loose skin.Warmly,Dr. Liu

We have clinical experience with the Vanquish for nearly 2 years and have been pleased with results in reducing fatty excess in the subcutaneous (under the skin) areas of the abdomen and hips.  Careful patient selection and realistic expectations along with treatment by a well trained and experienced technician are also essential for optimal results.  For patients that also need skin tightening we may add another radio frequency treatment with the Exilis Elite for additional benefit.  Pre and post treatment hydration and ongoing healthy nutrition with exercise will improve outcomes.    Vanquish utilizes a different type of energy (radio frequency) than CoolSculpting so it is perfectly safe to use afterwards.  Vanquish can treat a much larger area of the trunk simultaneously while CoolSculpting treats focal areas of fatty excess.

There is no interaction at all between the 2 technologies. We added Vanquish about 3 months ago. We have had Coolsculpting since 2009. I think that Vanquish is better for larger areas and Coolsculpting is more for spot treatments. Adding the Z wave to both treatments increase their effectiveness by at least 60%. People are happy with their results with Vanquish. Both will get results.
