Will the pink under my pigment spots from IPL treatment return to normal color?

The black pigmentation spots after my IPL session have started to fall off. However, skin that is under those brown spots have a pinkish tone that is not the same tone as my other face tone. Will this pink tone return to normal colouring?

Thank you for your question.The pinkish tone is normal to experience. Be sure to keep it covered with a good sunscreen that protects against UVA and UVB rays. The color should come back as you continue to heal. If you have any additional concerns, contact the provider who performed your treatment to review additional post care instructions. To be sure, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment.I hope this helps.

What you are describing is the coffee grounding that can occur after IPL as the pigment rises up and out of the skin. When this pigment comes up you can often have a light pink spot there. Keep it sunscreened well and moisturized and it will go back to normal soon. "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and
