What is the difference between IPL and BBL facial treatments?

Question

I am 50 ish and have sun damaged skin and brown spots. I have read that BBL treats fine lines also. Looking for something to give me more even skin tone, erasing brown spots that REALLY works.

IPL and BBL are the same thing, just different words. IPL is the typical way to describe it. It stands for Intense Pulsed Light. I certainly has been shown to work on brown spots. IPL and BBL are actually just different names for the same treatment. IPL stands for intense pulsed light, and BBL for broad band light. They are essentially the same treatment, but marketed by different companies. This is similar to Fraxel, Pixel and Profractional- they are all fractional laser treatments, with different brand names.
