Hi I would like to know if it’s normal that at 10 month pto still bother my implants when laying down I feel discomfort or heaviness and also I still feel extra sensitive es on my nipples.
Answer: Heaviness Yes, when you are laying down the weight of the implants is laying directly on your chest. You may feel this extra weight, especially with larger implants. The changes in sensitivity sometimes occurs with breast augmentation. This can still change as the body adjusts. If it is bothersome you can speak with your surgeon on interventions to help calm the nerves.

Answer: Implants Since you have more weight on your chest, you can feel them, especially when laying down. Surgery to the breasts can increase or decrease sensitivity to the nipples. This may slowly improve still.

Answer: Discomfort and heaviness Dear Energetic43279, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: 10 month post op breast implants - is it normal I feel discomfort & heaviness when lying down? Feeling discomfort and heaviness in the breasts while lying down 10 months post-op after breast implant surgery can have various potential causes. While I'm not a doctor, I can provide you with some general information that might help you understand the situation better: 1.) Healing Process: It's possible that your body is still in the process of healing and adjusting to the presence of the implants. Discomfort can be a normal part of the healing process, especially during the first year after surgery. 2.) Scar Tissue Formation: The development of scar tissue around the implants, known as capsular contracture, can cause discomfort and tightness in the breasts. While this often occurs within the first few months after surgery, it can continue to develop over time. 3.) Implant Size and Position: The size and position of the implants can influence how they interact with your natural breast tissue and chest muscles. If the implants are particularly large or positioned in a way that puts pressure on surrounding tissues, it might lead to discomfort, especially in certain positions. 4.) Nerve Sensitivity: Changes in nerve sensitivity are common after breast augmentation surgery. Nerves can take time to adjust and heal, and this can result in sensations like discomfort, numbness, or tingling. 5.) Underlying Conditions: Other factors like muscle strain, posture issues, or pre-existing conditions could contribute to the discomfort you're experiencing. It's important to communicate your symptoms to your plastic surgeon. They can examine your breasts, review your surgical history, and possibly perform tests or imaging to determine the cause of the discomfort. They will be able to provide you with appropriate guidance and recommendations based on your specific situation. If you experience sudden or severe pain, changes in breast appearance, or any other concerning symptoms, don't hesitate to reach out to your surgeon promptly.

Answer: Heaviness after implants Hi Energetic43279, excellent questions. Everyone may experience their implants differently. You may feel the heaviness more if your implants are larger. Have you tried sleeping in a supportive bra? This may mitigate some of the symptoms. Nipple sensitivity isn't uncommon. People describe a range in change to nipple sensitivity - from less to more sensitive. It may also be affected by how your incisions are placed. Hope that helps.
