Looking to see what procedures I can look into, I am very unhappy with my side profile view. I have a flat face, fat neck, no jaw line, and my left eye looks like its closing more than the other. I’m trying to look more feminine. Suggestions? I was told my cheeks are flat as well.
Answer: I have a flat face, a fat neck, and a droopy eyelid. How can I correct these? Thank you for your pictures and questions. While I cannot agree with your entire assessment, I do agree with some of the things you have pointed out. You do have some increased submental fullness and an under-projected chin which could easily be treated with a chin implant and neck liposuction. In addition, you might consider buccal fat pad removal to narrow your lower face. If you are concerned about the volume loss in the cheeks you could consider fat grafting or HA fillers as options. Make sure you are seeing a plastic surgeon who is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Hope this helps! Dallas R. Buchanan, MD, FACS VIVIFY plastic surgery

Answer: Non-Surgical Chemical Brow Lift for Eyelid Rejuvenation -- add Ultherapy, Thread Lifting, RF Skin Tightening, Laser Treatments As we age, our eyelids naturally sag and droop. A combination approach would be best to see visible improvement. In terms of non-surgical treatment options, I would recommend a Chemical Brow Lift (using Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, or Jeuveau) and filler injections to rejuvenate the temples, eyebrow, eyelid, eye troughs, upper eye hollows, and forehead. I typically combine this with Ultherapy and thread lifting to lift the brow; RF and skin tightening laser treatments to stimulate collagen production and rejuvenate the skin; and laser or superficial RF devices for improvements in texture, color, and any crepey skin around the eyes as needed. In some cases, surgery is the best solution to achieve the desired results. See an expert for a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Side Profile Improvement - Chin Augmentation and Submental Liposuction Hi I reviewed your photos. On straight on (frontal) view, your face is actually very symmetric when assessing your horizontal 1/3's and vertical 1/5's. You have a great hair line, nice eyebrow position, and good cheek structure that will keep you looking young for a long time. I see what you mean by your side profile view. You have something called chin retrusion (weak chin) which limits how sharp your neck and jaw line appears. This is easily corrected with a custom contoured chin implant. This can be done under local anesthesia in about 30 minutes and can make huge strides to refine your jaw line. Something to consider in your age range is to combine a chin augmentation with microliposuction underneath the jaw. This will remove any excess fullness and utilize the advantages of your young skin which will shrink wrap underneath your jaw/neck line. The recovery for this procedure is usually 5-7 days of social downtime. I would recommend seeking a Facial Plastic Surgeon who specializes in facial procedures. Thank you. Nik Rana MD.
