I was wondering if it is okay to have a superficial chemical peel 3 days prior before having a filler treatment. I have had this peel done before it’s from Image Skincare and it never gives me any crazy dead skin sloughing off. Or any swelling. They use a light coat of glycolic acid and vitamin c. So my question is would this be safe? Since I am really not looking forward to having to wait two weeks like some websites may say.

Answer: Superficial Peels May Be Performed In Same Treatment Session As Fillers I have been performing superficial peels of all kinds, including maximum concentration glycolic acid, salicylic acid and Jessner's Solution for well over three decades and injecting fillers of all kinds for a similar length of time. For those patients requiring both, I routinely treat them in the same treatment session, first filler, then peel. I have found this approach to be safe, effective and a big time saver for patients. So, you can relax. If you still wish to divide up your treatments, I would suggest filler first followed a few days later by the peel. Bottom line: don't worry. Best of luck.

Answer: Fillers after peel It depends on the depth of the peel. All chemical peels generate a mild inflammation response. The inflammation from mild, superficial peels can be done immediately after a filler administration, while medium depth peels require a wait period of 1 to 2 weeks.
