Chemical peel before filler treatment?

I often recommend superficial chemical pees, (Jessners, VI pee, ZO 3 step and other salasylic peels) along with fillers and botox. The effects are synergistic. The botox takes effect in 3-4 days, the filler swelling recedes and and the peeling is complete. The combination effect is complete by day 4 and most patients look entirely refreshed with out any significant downtime.

you should do the peel the same do you get the filer, do not do the peel days before you will be swollen and red. I have been performing superficial peels of all kinds, including maximum concentration glycolic acid, salicylic acid and Jessner's Solution for well over three decades and injecting fillers of all kinds for a similar length of time. For those patients requiring both, I routinely treat them in the same treatment session, first filler, then peel. I have found this approach to be safe, effective and a big time saver for patients. So, you can relax. If you still wish to divide up your treatments, I would suggest filler first followed a few days later by the peel. Bottom line: don't worry. Best of luck.

It depends on the depth of the peel. All chemical peels generate a mild inflammation response. The inflammation from mild, superficial peels can be done immediately after a filler administration, while medium depth peels require a wait period of 1 to 2 weeks.

Thank you for your question! Ideally, you really should wait two weeks after any peel before having any injectables or laser treatments. Your skin could be fragile after the peel which could result in broken blood vessels if being injected with needles right after. Again, you would be assuming the risk of possible damage to your skin or a negative outcome if you don not wait the suggested 2 weeks. Hope this helps!
