I had a poorly trained women perform Venus freeze on my butt. Can your fat cells heal after radio frequency treatment?

Hi and thank you for your question! I am sorry to hear about the experience. Venus Freeze works gradually and the fat reduction following just one treatment is not likely to be significant. For the fat cell to be substantial in just one treatment, the temperature must reach very high levels which will be intolerable by the patient and will certainly result in the treatment being aborted. Based on my experience, patients completing the full 6-session cycle of Venus Freeze will usually see around 1-2 size reductions so I doubt you will have long lasting issues, but if concerned, please do a follow up visit with a qualified physician for an accurate assessment. We do lots of Venus Freeze treatments in the office. The radiofrequency modality employed by Venus Freeze is a safe and gradual loss of volume, typically results of one treatment would be minimal. It takes a number of treatments to lose volume and that loss is usually a pretty even result. The treatment that would produce significant loss of volume in spots and patches would likely result in severely burned tissue and would not be tolerable in the first place.
