Thanks for your question. Thermalift is a radiofrequency skin tightening treatment by Thermage which heats up the deeper layers of the skin to make the tissues contract leading to skin tightening and collagen remodeling best seen at 4-6 months. Looking at your picture, which by the way looks great, I'm not sure if that would be the best treatment approach for you. You have some early signs of volume loss in the marionette area (the area between the corners of the lips and the jaw line) which is causing you to see the laxity along the lower face. You will see best results with either a combination treatment using Ultherapy (using microfocused ultrasound energy to give a lift to the lower face) along with subtle correction of the volume loss in the marionette area with Hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvederm. Or, a great option would be to use Silhouette Instalift threads which use PLLA sutures which is a biostimulatory material that stimulates your own collagen and gives you subtle volume correction all in one. You see some immediate results with best results at 4-6 months and the results would generally last about 2 years. Another option which would be very effective would be the lower face Y-Lift procedure which uses strategically placed fillers to contour and lift your jawline to give you a more defined and chiseled look to your lower face. With these procedures, it is very important to go to see an expert physician who is experienced in these procedure for the best outcomes.Hope that helps. Best, Dr Rosy Sandhu

Thanks for your good question. Thermage is specifically designed to treat the dermal structure and does not typically work deeply enough to penetrate the subcutaneous fat just under the dermis. The temperature is also set to constrict tissue and stimulate collagen production, not destroy fat...
