Hello, and thanks for your question. Thermage uses radio frequency which causes the skin to get tighter in the area being treated by heating the deeper dermal layer of the skin. Fat loss is generally not a concern as it lies deeper to the skin layers, although has been reported in rare cases likely related to the duration or the temperature achieved with the treatment. It's very important to go to an experienced physician who can control the depth and temperature of the treatment for an ideal outcome. If you are looking for a more preventative treatment option for fine lines under the eyes and a brow lift, we get great results with a single treatment of Ultherapy as well. Once again, it's very important to go to an experienced board certified physician to get the best results. Best, Dr Rosy Sandhu
Thank you for your message! Thermage is a radiofrequency procedure that stimulates collagen production. Typically energy settings around the eyes are lower than elsewhere on the body so fat loss is not much of a concern. That being said, whoever does your procedure should be asking you throughout to make sure you are comfortable and that any "stinging" sensation goes away so that they know what proper energy level to treat you at!
Thermage is my favorite skin tightening laser and works through radiofrequency in heating up collagen tissue and producing new and tighter skin. It takes several months to see the results of Thermage and I sometimes combine this with PRP or microneedling or Aquagold and Botox. Please consult an expert in cosmetic lasers and injections for the best results. Best, Dr. Green

Thanks for your good question. Thermage is specifically designed to treat the dermal structure and does not typically work deeply enough to penetrate the subcutaneous fat just under the dermis. The temperature is also set to constrict tissue and stimulate collagen production, not destroy fat...
Thank you for including pictures with your question. Buccal fat removal is an option, but I recommend you schedule a consultation with a board certified facial plastic surgeon and then you can educate yourself regarding the risks and benefits of the procedure. Thermage is an option and the m...
