Thank you for your question regarding what to do with your thighs after significant weight loss and after having undergone a thigh reduction. The good news is that there is still hope. The bad news is that I would suggest another thigh reduction. However, I would suggest that thigh liposuction be combined with your new thigh reduction. I would suggest that your thigh reduction have an incision from your groin down the inseam of your inner thigh. Depending on how far down the inner thigh the excess skin and fat bothers you, will determine the length of the inner thigh scar. If the excess skin and fat bothers you to the knee, then I would suggest the incision be carried to the knee. However, if the excess only bothers you a third or half way down the inner thigh, then that is only how far the incision needs to extend. Plan on a 3-4-hour procedure under general anesthesia. You will need to wear your compression garment for approximately 6-8 weeks or until the swelling subsides. These procedures are done under general anesthesia and are performed as an outpatient procedure. In the postoperative period, you will be monitored for at minimum 2 days after the surgery. I specialize in thigh lifts. I hope that I have answered your questions regarding the thigh reduction.
