I know I will be wearing a stocking when I receive the procedure.

Answer: Endermologie timing My question would be why you believe this would be necessary and/or effective. It would result in stretching out of the scar so, even if there was a potential efficacy, you would have to balance that against the scarring.

Answer: Tummy tuck This is an important question. The tissues are suctioned up and put on stretch with this procedure, so doing it too soon after surgery will pull on you scar and could cause it to thicken or widen. It could also stretch the skin that you have just tightened which seems a little counter productive. If you must have a treatment, wait at least 6 to 12 months. It is probably ok to treat over a scar, but I am not sure what it will accomplish. If you are trying to additionally tighten skin of the abdomen, a different modality, such as ThermiSmooth 250 might be a better choice. Again I would recommend waiting 6 to 12 months to allow your tissue to be well into the healing phase.Generally the effects of Endermologie come from trauma to the tissues with swelling and are short lived. In addition, after a tummy tuck you may not need any additional smoothing. If you are doing Endermologie to help with fibromyalgia, treat other areas that were not operated and skip the abdomen (and be careful about lying on your abdomen too soon after surgery to be treated with any modality).
