Hi I'm getting a nose job in turkey. What creditials should I be looking for in a surgeon? Is a medical diploma and certification for plastic reconstructive surgery with turkey association good? See pic attached. The doctor said most turkey doctors are not board certified because they don't travel overseas.

There are certainly excellent plastic surgeons in Turkey. However I don’t know how you would go about figuring that out including what proper credential if involves. There are plenty of excellent surgeons in Florida and it will be far simpler to just have the surgery there.

finding the right Dr. is extremely challenging especially with the number of online platforms and resources available. There a lot of great Dr's available. Make sure he/she is a board-certified plastic surgeon. Definitely check to make sure your choice specializes in the procedure you want and spend the time to read through patient testimonials. There is a number of different sites where you can check for reviews (Realself, yelp, google, etc.).You can always pick up the phone and call around also, find an office you feel comfortable with and set up a few consultations.

In my opinion, the most dependable and reliable credentials are possessed by American Board Certified Plastic Surgeons who specialize in Rhinoplasty both Primary and Revision . There are only a limited number of these qualified individuals in the World- most of them are in the US. I suggest that you seek an experienced Board Certified PS in the US -preferably  specializes in closed technique. Safety and a good result are worth the investment

There are some excellent plastic surgeons in Turkey with world-renowned reputation. You may inquire at  the American Society of aesthetic plasticsurgery for some of the Turkish plastic surgeons that are members of the society than that it itself will give you a great deal of confidence and credibility.
