The bruising is gone, there is some residual swelling but I'm concerned that I look the same or worse than before 1 month post op. Is this too soon?
Answer: No result after chin (submental) liposuction I try to avoid saying what I would have done differently, not having the benefit of examining you in person and knowing more about you health, goals, desires, etc. With that said - if you had been a patient of mine I would not have done liposuction alone. If the goal was to improve your neck, you needed a directed open lipectomy, or more likely a face and neck lift. Liposuction alone with that much excess in a face that is over forty years old (my assumption) is not likely going to provide satisfying results. These are only my opinion based on a photograph and my own experience - I don't intend to call into question any treatment decisions that were made as there are likely many factors to which I am not privy. Good luck.

Answer: Chin Lipo Post Op Thank you for your question. One month after a major procedure like this is certainly too soon to tell what the final result will look like. However a facelift would certainly be an option if you find that the desired results were not achieved. It is essential for your treatment to be handled by a highly qualified professional so that they may assess how to reach your individual goals.

Answer: Post neck lipo It maybe early to assess your final results. Based on your preoperative photo you may have been a better candidate for a formal neck plasty and facelift. Liposuction alone has limitations and only reduces fat under the skin. It does not address fatty deposits deep to the neck muscle nor does it significantly improve jowels. Speak to your surgeon and take medical grade photos to accurately assess your results. Then review your options.

Answer: Loose skin 4 weeks after chin liposuction Based on your photograph only it appears that the fat has been successfully removed from your double chin but unfortunately your skin has not contracted and you have loose sagging skin made more obvious by removal of the fat.If your chin liposuction was done with laser liposuction you may continue to see tightening of the skin over the next 6 months, however I doubt that it will tighten enough to significantly improve the neck line. However based on my experience you may well need a neck lift are some form of skin revision to tighten the skin that is loose beneath your chin.

Answer: Slow results after liposuction of the chin 1 month is early and based on your photograph you'll need to be patient to see a difference. At the very least I think laser assisted liposuction would have been of benefit to you and that it looks as though you need as much tissue and skin tightening as you do fat removal. In fact, probably more tightening and lifting than fat removal. Some of the previous comments by other doctors are likely accurate in that he may have benefited most from a direct lipectomy and/or face lift and neck lift. That being said, you may have selected this route to make an improvement because he didn't have the ability to take time off to recover from a facelift or the expense, etc. I do believe he will look better at 3-6 months then used to now so the patient and try not to stress to muchChase Lay, MDDouble board-certified facial plastic surgeon
