I'm a military pilot interested in rhinoplasty and a chin implant. My concern is how will the nose and chin be affected if there is some pressure from my oxygen mask applied to the areas about 3 weeks post op. Thanks

Answer: Military flight after rhinoplasty Having been trained by the Air Force in flight medicine I would highly recommend you be DNIF for 6 weeks after rhinoplasty surgery that requires manipulation of the bones. If you are in any aircraft that pulls more than 3 G's you could easily cause some disruption or distortion in your surgery.Best WishesDr. Peterson
