Thank you for your question. If you're looking to achieve a more masculine chest with minimal scarring after taking estrogen, a periareolar approach combined with liposuction could be an ideal option. This method involves making a small incision around the areola, which is discreet and tends to leave a less visible scar. Liposuction is then used to remove excess fat tissue, particularly if there is a smaller amount of breast tissue. This approach is especially beneficial if you're seeking to minimize scarring while still achieving a more masculine chest appearance. It's important to discuss your specific goals with a qualified gender-affirming breast surgeon who can tailor the procedure to your needs and provide the best results with the least scarring possible.Krishna Vyas, MD, PhD, MHSHarvard and Mayo Clinic Trained Aesthetic and Plastic SurgeonNew York, New York
Starting with a periareolar approach combined with liposuction could be a suitable method for achieving a more masculine chest with minimal scarring, particularly if you are seeking to reverse the effects of estrogen-induced breast development. This method involves making a small incision around the areola, which is less conspicuous, and using liposuction to remove excess fat tissue. This approach tends to leave less visible scars and can be quite effective for those with a smaller amount of breast tissue.
The least possible scars in order to reduce Breast Size is The Periareolar Mastectomy. An Incision on the lower half of the areola borders would be the only scar.
Thank you for your question and photos. Based on these photos, you would get a good result with an intra-areolar incision (no visible scars afterwards) and a 1 cm armpit incision. Through these small incisions, I do VASER liposuction, gland excision and Renuvion skin tightening in your case. These procedures I do in our certified in office operating suite under deep intravenous sedation.See a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced chest and body sculpting techniques for an in person consultation/evaluation. Good luck.
I would perform liposuction of your chest first to see if most of the breast fat and tissue may be removed with minimal incisions (in the armpit).Dr. T
The best way to go is to remove the current areolas along with the residual (excess) volume that you have. The chest is not completlely flat because there is still some extra skin and fat present. Once that tissue is removed, the areolas can either be tattooed or reconstructed using labia minora.
Thank you for sharing. A key goal of chest masculinizing top surgery is to effectively remove excess skin and reshape the chest. Due to the presence of extra skin, a periareolar approach may not be the ideal choice for you. This method is generally best suited for individuals with less skin...
Eligibility for a periareolar top surgery depends on several factors, including the amount of excess skin and breast tissue you have, as well as your goals for scarring and the final appearance. The periareolar approach involves making incisions around the areola and is often preferred for...
