surgery 9/8/21, both implants are 450 cc. During my recovery I noticed my right breast always felt more tighter & higher than my left. my left breast settled into its final position while my right one remained high. I expressed my concern to my surgeon & he emphasized to wait 1 year for the final position. I am over 1 year post op and it’s still running high & I can feel the tightness under my chest muscle. Over 1 year post op and now he suggests a 3k capsulotomy revision surgery.
Answer: Capsule You might try a round of oral Accolate and external ultrasound treatments to see if the capsule can be softened and the implant settle down. You may also need to wear the band.

Answer: Right side breast aug higher Hello, thank you for your question. Typically our dominant hand has a stronger muscle which can explain the slight difference in implant height. Try massaging again, there will always be a certain degree of asymmetry. I wouldn't suggest another surgery to release because even with the best surgeon you can over release and then implant will drop too much. Speak to your plastic surgeon again about your options and consider how bothersome it really is.

Answer: a surgical revision the only course of action I can take to correct breast asymmetry? Hello and thank you for posting. Unfortunately surgical revision is the only way to make your right breast drop into place. Cápsulotomy with pocket revision is your best option. This sometimes happen. Implants might not settle because of severe reasons. Sometimes the pocket os too small or sometimes the muscles is just a bit to strong. In any case, the revision is pretty straight forward and you will get great results. Best of luck, Dr. Miguel Mota

Answer: Capsular contracture? It is possible that you developed early capsular contracture which resulted in displacement of the implant and asymmetry. This can happen as soon as few weeks or 30-40 yeras after surgery. Only on the basis of in person consultation one could find a real cause of asymmetry. If that is a capsular contracture, capsulotomy, capsulectomy or placement of the implant in a new pocket are procedures to be considered. Good luck.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear hotsummernights3265, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.
