Can underarm laser hair removal cause tired/ heavy feeling in the underarm, continuing all the way down the arm into the hand?

question and voicing your laser hair removal concerns. It’s very unlikely that
the heavy/tired feeling in your underarm was caused by your laser hair removal
treatment. If the feeling mostly occurred shortly after your treatment, it
could have resulted from blood flow returning to the arm after it was held in
an elevated position for a long period of time. If the feeling is continuous,
it’s best to discuss your concerns with your doctor or a physical therapist to
put your mind at ease. Again, it’s unlikely the tired, heavy sensation was
caused by your treatment, but your doctor will be able to answer any questions
you might have.

I have never heard of this side effect in thousands of hair removal sessions. However a medical problem is always a priority over a cosmetic treatment and would not recommend additional laser hair removal sessions until this disappears. It may be swelling which will eventually resolve .I have used Bromelain 2 capsules three times a day for swelling successfully in many patients. 

I think it is very unlikely that the laser caused this. Maybe what happened is you held your arm in one position too long? Just a guess. Hope you feel better!Dr Beverly Johnson
