Hypopigmentation, is it permanent? How to shorten healing time? please help (Photo)

I have had laser hair removal 3 months ago,I was burned and now have hypo pigmentation. Doctors are suggesting I stay patient and stay out of the sun.In a couple of days I will be flying out to Mexico,I will use sun protection.Can tanning really do any more damage at this point,I have lost all hope.Thank you

I agree with Dr. Johns that it is difficult to say without a picture.  In my opinion and experience it may represent hyperpigmentation after your treatment.  Hydroquinone and /or kojic acid may be helpful.

Any burning of the skin from laser can lead to hypopigmentation.  All of these typically resolve over a period of 6 weeks to 6 months.  Even in the worst cases it will eventually go away.  During this time it is best not to undergo any further laser treatment to the skin.  It...
