I've heard varying accounts. Can I have it on a Friday and go to work Monday? Can I cover swelling with makeup?
Answer: Morpheus8 Microneedling Radiofrequency -- Skin Tightening, Skin Resurfacing, Textural Improvements, Crepey Skin, Pores, Scars Thank you for your question! Morpheus8 provides both skin tightening and skin resurfacing improvements. The technology uses radiofrequency deep subdermal heating to effectively tighten skin and remodel the superficial texture, such as scarring and enlarged pores. The downtime can be a few days up to a week. Combining Morpheus8 with lasers can give both complexion and laxity improvements in one treatment, so it's an ideal add-on treatment for those who care about preventative sagging or scarring improvements. You can also add this on to liposuction or internal heating to get more improvement in the areas treated. Adding medical-grade skincare afterwards can greatly help to maintain your results. I recommend browsing through the many high quality skin care products found at Emeragecosmetics.com, where you can also get a free consultation with one of my Skin Care Specialists.I suggest getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to develop a treatment plan that works for you. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Downtime and recovery for Morpheus8 In my experience, most patients usually recover in 2-3 days. If you do this treatment on a Friday it will give you the weekend to recover and use post treatment care (each practice may have differing post treatment protocols). By Monday the redness and swelling should be significantly decreased from the treatment time on Friday and you will be able to apply makeup to cover up anything that may still be lingering. I always recommend using mineral based makeup as it is gentler on the skin. Good luck!

Answer: Morpheus8 Recovery Most patients report a two day period of redness and mild swelling. The amount of oozing and bleeding after this procedure is less than with traditional microneedling due to the heat which is applied through the radiofrequency.I recommend not applying makeup for a period of 3 to 4 days after the procedure given the concern that the makeup may enter the small openings caused by the needles. By that time these holes should have healed.

Answer: Morpheus Recovery Time One of the great things about Morpheus8 is that in most people, the recovery is very minimal. You most likely can go to work on Monday and from what I've seen with my patients, you may not even need make up. If you would like to speed up the recovery time even more, Morpheus with PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is another option. Best of luck!
