Thank you for your question. It is not an option to use someone else's fat for your BBL. The fat will be rejected by your body. Be sure to have a board certified plastic surgeon examine you to determine how much fat can be harvested and from where on your body. Hope this helps.Best,Dr. Newall
Fat transfer is the process by which a candidate's native fat is moved from an area of excess to a deficiency. This differs significantly from a transplant where the donor tissue is foreign and requires immunosuppression to avoid rejection. Shy of gentically identical twin-twin transplant, there is no way to transfer fat between patients without immunosuppression. Thus, simply put, you cannot use someone else's fat for BBL/fat transfer. As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).
Definitely not. If you were to use someone else's fat your body's immune system would immediately attack the tissue. In organ transplant operations there is extensive research done to find a compatible donor and even then the person is on immunosuppressant drugs for their lifetime. There's usually some fat somewhere that can be harvested but if not we'll work to come up with other options. I wish you the best of luck!
You can not use someone else's fat. It would be like a transplant and it would reject unless you went on immunosuppression which can be associated with its own risks.
No it is not possible to use someone else's fat. Unless that person is an identical twin you would reject it and even if they were the risk of disease transmission would make it something that most surgeons would not be willing to do.
Hello! Thank you for the question. This exact question comes up often in my practice. Unfortunately, unlike blood transfusions, you cannot use someone else's fat. There is a risk of disease transmission, but the real problem is that unless it is a PERFECT DNA match, it will not work. Your immune system will recognize the fat cells as foreign and reject them. The only transfer that works is an identical twin. So sorry!
Dear keiona92,Thanks so much for your inquiry. You can't use someone else's fat to do this procedure, your body will rejected it because it would make a reaction like an estrange object to your inmune system. You need to evaluate other options to get the results that you want or otherwise gain some weight. Please make sure that you and your surgeon are on the same page. Don't forget to discuss all your concerns, options and expectations thoroughly. Have a safe and pleasant PS Journey!Respectfully, Dr. Jaime Campos León Board Certified Plastic SurgeonIG drcamposleonsnapchat: tjlipo
Thank you for the question. No, you have to use your own fat for the transfer, otherwise your body will reject it.

Thanks for your question. It depends on when you stopped smoking. If you stopped smoking right before the procedure and there is still nicotine in your system, then you may have wound healing issues. If you stopped months before, that should not happen. Please always consult with a board ...
Seek a plastic surgeon who performs many of these procedures, has great reviews and photos, and is an expert in this field. Good luck!
