Is this swelling at 8 months post-op or am I disfigured? (Photos)

I had closed septoplasty 8 months ago mainly because I had a slight deviation and I hated my nose from the side which had a big hump. It was clear I did not want to change from the front. I am really starting to think that I disfigured myself. I liked my face from the front and now I really hate it. I was very swollen and had big bruises after the surgery so I did « react » a lot to the procedure but the before and after seem way too far from each other now to get any better.

Hello, thank you for this question photos for all perspectives would help more.Based on them, you are living edema and swelling in your healing phase which will take at least one year long and during this process as part of your recovery you will live swelling case. After completing your healing if the result is not satisfying either cosmetically or functionally you can go under a revision procedure.Best of Luck, Kind Regards,

Swelling after septoplasty and rhinoplasty lasts a relatively long time for many reasons. While a majority of healing occurs in the first couple months, many plastic surgeons suggest waiting a year for "final results". Patients should continue staying in communication with their rhinoplasty surgeon in the recovery process.
