Why is my nose now always blocked like before, even after septoplasty surgery?

Septoplasty had been done for me before 18 days due to nasal deviation but my nose is still blocked like before.Its worse when i lie down.when will i get complete relief?

Dear Alfi dasthakeer, Thank you for your question and congratulations on your septoplasty operation. I tell all of my patients, that for the first 2-3 weeks they may feel as if they have a stuffy nose. It takes awhile for the swelling to go down. It is important to be patient, as the final results may not be apparent for at least 6-12 months after surgery. Best of luck to you!

You probably still have edema. If this is the case, it's normal that you cannot breathe easily. Please see your surgeon after a month following your operation.
